Driving project in phase manner make possible to successful implementation. While making the phases, total work load of a project is divided into smaller components. This also helps to monitor and manage the project and all resources in timely manner.
Stages of Business Analytics:
Initiation phase: This is beginning of the project. In this phase, the idea for the project is explored and elaborated. This phase examines feasibility of the project. In addition, decisions are made concerning who is to carry out the project, which party (or parties) will be involved and whether the project has an adequate base of support among those who are involved.
Definition phase: In this phase, the requirements that are associated with a project result are specified as clearly as possible. This involves identifying the expectations and project leader writes a scope / Functional Requirements Document, which contains a description of the entire project, including expectations. This also included business plans and responsibilities for various activities.
Design phase: In design phase, system architecture gets developed. This also may have application flow, data flow, entity diagram etc. to be developed. Depending on the project concept design which clear the screen layout, colour combination, various images required for the application etc. to be developed and basic structure of the system stands in this phase. As in the definition phase, once the design has been chosen, it cannot be changed in a later stage of the project.
Development phase: During the development phase, actual development of the system takes place. This also including the testing of the application / system.
Implementation phase: The project takes shape during the implementation phase. Only implementation of the project, earlier stages makes useful and successful. While implementation, there are many members are involved. Co-ordination and co-operations from every members is very important. This is team work and every individual must understand the importance of the system. Here, implementation team need lot of passions and they have to play important role to get involvements of every team member.
In this phase there is User Acceptance Test also need to be conducted before going to LIVE. There are many systems need to be configure and some of the configuration can not be change once the system become live. Hence while testing the system, it must be tested with various data and different cases. It is always recommended to check maximum different cases (minimum three each type) of every type. This helpful to check expected result of the system
